Whale Rider - Paikea’s Speech.
I haven’t watched this film in over a year, and 10 seconds into this scene and I’m blubbering. If you’ve never seen the movie, the context is that Pai has worked hard to write a speech for her pageant in order to impress her surly grandfather, who has never accepted her. He never bothers to show up.
This little lady deserved her Oscar nomination.
